Heat from the Ground Up.
Commercial Radiant Floor Heating · Northeast Ohio
Radiant floor heating delivers comfort differently than forced air · warming surfaces and objects rather than cycling hot air through a space. For commercial spaces where comfort, efficiency, and quiet operation matter, in-floor radiant is a premium choice. Precision Mechanical designs, fabricates, and installs commercial radiant heating systems across Northeast Ohio.

The Challenge
What Made This Project Demanding
Radiant floor heating in commercial settings demands precise engineering. PEX tubing layout must be calculated to deliver even heat distribution across the slab · accounting for floor coverings, room geometry, and occupancy patterns. Manifold placement, zone control, and integration with the building's heat source require careful coordination. Concrete pours must happen on schedule, since embedded tubing cannot be repositioned after the slab sets. The margin for error is narrow.
Project Scope
- Heat load calculations and radiant system design
- PEX tubing layout and in-slab installation
- Manifold installation and zone control configuration
- Integration with boiler or heat source system
- Pressure testing prior to concrete pour
- Commissioning and zone balancing
The Solution
How We Solved It
Precision Mechanical handles radiant floor heating as a complete scope · from heat load calculations through commissioning. PEX layout is designed to the specific geometry of each space, with attention to edge losses, floor covering R-values, and the actual thermal demands of the occupancy. Manifolds are located for service access, and zone controls are configured to match the building's occupancy schedule. Every system is pressure-tested before the concrete pour to confirm the tubing is leak-free prior to encapsulation.
The Outcome
Results
Completed radiant installations deliver consistent, even warmth from floor to ceiling · without the noise, drafts, or hot/cold spots of forced air systems. Our commercial radiant work spans warehouses, commercial spaces, and specialty applications where floor heat provides both comfort and operational advantages.
